Welcome to Skinquarter Baptist Church. We’ve put together some information here that anticipates and tries to briefly answer some of the questions you may have prior to visiting our church for the first time:

Atmosphere

It's important to us that you feel welcome when visiting. We hope our atmosphere will help you feel relaxed and comfortable. The music and worship are built around Biblical themes that are timeless. Presently, we are a small, friendly church with a typical worship attendance of 50-60. We will be so glad to have you join us in worship! You will be greeted and welcomed.

Family Friendly

We welcome families with children of all ages at Skinquarter Baptist Church, and we're excited for you to consider being a part of our church family! Our intent is to serve the whole family.

We love having children as part of our worship service! Kids of all ages are warmly welcomed to join the entire congregation at the beginning of the service. This allows them to participate in the singing, worship, and corporate prayer alongside their family and the rest of the church.

After the worship music portion is complete, for children between the ages of 2 and 12 years old, there will be a friendly dismissal to Children's Church. Our caring Children's Ministry leaders will guide the children to their age-appropriate classes, where they will receive engaging, Bible-based teaching and activities designed just for them.

If your child is feeling shy or it's their first time, parents are more than welcome to accompany them to help them get settled. Otherwise, feel free to remain in the service while your children enjoy their time with our dedicated team.

Sermon

From the pulpit, you will hear sound, expository preaching that is firmly rooted in the Bible. Each week, our pastor typically preaches and teaches verse-by-verse through books of the Bible, faithfully explaining the meaning of the text and applying its timeless truths to our lives today.

We believe the Bible is God's inspired Word and sufficient for all matters of faith and practice, so you can expect clear, relevant teaching that points you to Christ and equips you to follow Him.

Biblical Teaching

Here at Skinquarter Baptist Church, we place a high priority on the preaching and teaching of God's Word. The worship service is a time for us to come together as a community to learn, be encouraged and to be challenged by God's Word. Other opportunities exist beyond the Sunday worship service where members have a chance to grow, fellowship, or otherwise be a part of a Church family that lives out their faith together.
